FAQs
Can you help develop the concept?
Absolutely. You work directly with Julia, the photographer, throughout the creative process, from the initial concept and shoot planning to photography and final retouching. Together, you’ll develop a visual direction that reflects your brand’s character, your sensibility, and what you want the photographs to communicate.
Do I need models or a stylist?
That depends on your concept. If your campaign calls for models, styling, or hair and makeup, the studio can help arrange the team. You’re also welcome to bring collaborators you already work with. We’ll confirm these details during pre-production.
What is included, and what costs extra?
The Topanga Canyon Sessions are designed around working one-on-one with Julia, including creative development, photography, and post-production for the number of final images included in your chosen session. Additional crew, talent, styling, locations, and other production requirements are discussed and budgeted separately during pre-production. Image licensing is purchased separately.
Where can we shoot?
Sessions take place in Topanga Canyon. If you have another location in mind, we’ll discuss the possibilities and any associated costs during pre-production. Julia is also available for international commissions. For larger commercial productions or travel inquiries, please contact the studio directly.
How can I use the photographs?
Image licenses are available for purchase per photograph, with usage agreed according to your needs. Licensing can be arranged during planning, after the shoot, or later if you’d like to use an image for a new project. Before publishing or using a photograph commercially, we’ll confirm that the appropriate license is in place.
When will I receive my photographs?
We schedule post-production around your shoot and agree on the delivery timeline with you. Julia completes each project before beginning the next, allowing focused attention to your final images.
Delivery also depends on when you submit your selections. If you need more time to choose, we’ll adjust the schedule together. Please share any launch dates or other deadlines during pre-production so we can plan accordingly.
